3RD PRAYER - [ACTION ONLY - GOLDENROD CITY]
[[Goldenrod City is beautiful. It's so vibrant, so bright, so...happy. Kariya loves it already.
He's only been here a week, but has already taken to wandering through the streets most days, staring at everything and everyone, taking in the atmosphere. It's such a cheery place; it fills him with warmth.
He's not sure what it is, but it feels as if the disfigurements on his face have lessened somewhat, now that he's been in Johto a little longer. Whether they actually have or not doesn't matter; it's given him the confidence to walk down the street with his hood down, though he's looking at the ground a little more than he should be.
Once he'd realised just how lovely Goldenrod was, he immediately went to the Department Store and purchased a camera; he'd had a fair bit of money saved up from his work in the Pokemon Centres, and as such he'd managed to find quite a nice piece of equipment. He'd always loved photography, back before the war. It's nice to be able to indulge in it again.
Above him, his Beautifly and Butterfree glide after him, coasting around and occasionally landing on his shoulders. He's already used an entire roll of film photographing his Pokemon, so he doesn't direct the camera at them too often.
Rather, his interest is captured by the people walking the streets.]]
Ah, excuse me-
[[You don't mind if he just comes up to you, do you? He's smiling shyly, holding up his camera, while his Beautifly flits around his head.]]
Would you mind if I took your picture?

[[OOC: People in Goldenrod, come get your picture taken! Kariya the Photographer (far less creepy than Cameron, don't worry) will even give you a copy of the photo, free of charge.]]

He is curious though, hence why said trainer is now tilting his head to side a bit.]
How can you learn from photographs? They're just still images; it's not like they can talk to you or explain things about themselves.
no subject
It's the subtle things; the way a person is dressed, how they wear their clothes, their poses, their body language...if you study a person enough, you can learn a lot about them through the littlest things.
But that could just be me.

And what have you learned by taking pictures of the people in this city? They seem like normal people from where I'm standing.
[Until they start talking, anyway. Then things change.]

Back in my home world, I travelled quite a bit and experienced a number of cultures, but this place...with such a rich combination of people from an infinite number of worlds...it's like we're at some sort of crossroads of the dimensions. I find it very interesting.
[[He looks down at Hitsugaya with a smile.]]
Would I be right in assuming you're not from around here?
no subject
You'd be right, in that I'm not from this world. But I've spent enough time in this city itself that I may as well have lived here my entire life.
